Early on during lockdown I received news that a very good friend of mine had passed away. Una was like a sister to me. So supportive and caring. She would often play old Irish folk songs around the table. She had a beautiful understated voice that was gently soothing and beguiling. The song that always reminds me of her is the old traditional 'She Moved Through The Fair'. As tribute to her I wanted to record a version to honour our friendship. It was a very emotional process that made me feel incredibly close to her. As I sang each line (which had to be done separately as I never managed to make it the whole way through the song) I could feel her with me. It was a very cathartic experience and I now have somewhere I can go to visit her. I love you Una. Xxx
